EVERYTHING YOU'RE WONDERING BEFORE YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION
It's completely normal to have questions—especially if you've never done anything like this before. From posing and wardrobe to privacy, pricing and what happens on the day of your session, here's what you can expect from your Colorado Springs boudoir experience.
IS IT NORMAL TO FEEL NERVOUS ABOUT A BOUDOIR SESSION?
Absolutely. In fact, we'd be surprised if you weren't at least a little nervous.
Most of the women we photograph have never done anything like this before. You don't need to arrive feeling confident or knowing what to do. Christi helps you settle in and prepare, and James guides you through every pose once you're in front of the camera.
You just have to show up. We'll take care of the rest.
SHOULD I LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE MY BOUDOIR SESSION?
Absolutely.
Our clients come in different ages, shapes and sizes, and your session is designed specifically around you. James doesn't use a one-pose-fits-everyone approach. Lighting, posing, wardrobe and camera angles are chosen intentionally for your body and the way you want to be photographed.
You don't need to fit a particular size to have beautiful boudoir photographs.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ALL BODY TYPES?
Absolutely.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
There's no single “right” boudoir wardrobe. Lingerie photographs beautifully, but so can a bodysuit, oversized sweater, button-down shirt, simple tank, sheets—or nothing at all.
We'll help you choose pieces based on your style, comfort level and the look you want to create.
DO YOU PROVIDE WARDROBE?
We ask you to bring your primary wardrobe so everything fits properly and reflects your personal style. Once your session is booked, we'll help you decide what to bring and provide wardrobe recommendations so you aren't figuring it out alone.
Our studio also has accessories and select pieces that can be incorporated into your session.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
We recommend booking your boudoir session at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially if you have a specific date or weekend in mind.
If your photographs are intended as a gift for a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion, we suggest planning even earlier to allow plenty of time for your session, private image reveal, retouching, and the creation of your finished album or artwork.
Our Colorado Springs studio books a limited number of sessions so each client receives a personalized experience. Weekend appointments tend to fill first, so the earlier you reserve your date, the more flexibility you'll have.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO POSE?
Perfect—you don't need to.
James guides you through every pose, from where to place your hands to how to position your legs, shoulders and face. He'll demonstrate movements when needed and make small adjustments throughout your session.
You don't need modeling experience, and you never have to wonder, “What do I do now?” That's our job.
ARE THE WOMEN ON YOUR WEBSITE MODELS?
No. They're our clients.
The women you see throughout our portfolio are real women who walked into our Colorado Springs studio—many feeling just as nervous and uncertain as you may feel right now.
They didn't arrive knowing how to pose. They didn't need to. What you're seeing is the combination of thoughtful styling, professional hair and makeup, expert lighting, guided posing and a woman who decided to give herself the chance to be photographed this way.
IS PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP INCLUDED?
Yes. Professional hair and makeup are part of every boudoir experience.
You'll begin your session in the makeup chair while we ease into the day, talk through your wardrobe and prepare your look for the camera. Your styling is customized to you—from soft and natural to polished and dramatic.
It's also the perfect time to settle in before stepping in front of the camera.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring a supportive friend if that helps you feel more
comfortable. We generally recommend leaving partners at home so you can relax
completely and make the experience about you.
CAN I POSE NUDE?
Absolutely—if that's what you want.
Nude and implied-nude photographs are completely optional and always guided by your comfort level. Some clients prefer lingerie or a simple sheet, while others choose implied or artistic nude portraits.
If nude photography is something you'd like to explore, James will guide you through tasteful posing while keeping the experience private, comfortable and completely within your boundaries.

WILL MY PHOTOS BE KEPT PRIVATE?
Absolutely. Your images are private unless you give us permission to share them.
You choose whether any photographs may appear on our website, social media or portfolio. If you prefer that every image remain private, they remain private.
We also handle our retouching in-house rather than outsourcing your photographs.
WHO WILL RETOUCH MY PHOTOS?
Yes. Every selected image is professionally retouched while still keeping you looking like you.
We refine temporary distractions and polish the photograph without changing the features
that make you unique.
HOW LONG DEOS IT TAKE TO GET MY PHOTOS?
Book at least 6–8 weeks before you need the finished product.
HOW MUCH DOES A BOUDOIR SESSION COST?
